Solving Oil Mist Issues with APZEM effective Fiber bed Mist filtration systems

Solving Oil Mist Issues with APZEM effective Fiber bed Mist filtration systems

Oil mist emissions are a significant concern in industrial operations, especially in manufacturing environments where machines are cleaned using oil-based sprays. Recently, we APZEM provided a customized oil mist filtration systems to address this issue for a leading hand glove manufacturer. The solution not only improved workplace air quality but also ensured compliance with environmental regulations and social responsibility standards.

Understanding the Problem: Oil Mist in Hand Glove Manufacturing

The manufacturer faced challenges due to oil mist emissions during the cleaning process of their knitting machines. These machines were housed in three cabins, and the cleaning process involved spraying flushing oil (using compressed air) to remove residues from the machinery. The cabins were designed with three openings: two at the top for operators to clean the machines and one at the bottom to prevent negative pressure when fans were running.

However, the existing system for handling the fumes – directing them into a water basin – was ineffective and environmentally unsustainable. The water basin failed to capture the oil mist efficiently, leading to poor air quality within the facility and non-compliance with social and regulatory standards.

Our Solution: Efficient Oil Mist Separation System

To resolve this issue, we designed and delivered a robust oil mist filtration system tailored to the manufacturer’s needs. The system efficiently captures and filters oil mist generated during the cleaning process, ensuring cleaner air and improved working conditions.

Our oil mist filter system uses a double-stage filtration process that significantly enhances air quality. While many traditional systems rely on single-stage filtration, our dual approach ensures that both large and fine particles are effectively captured. The first stage utilizes high-performance mist filters to handle heavy contaminants, while the second stage employs coalescent filters for fine particle removal. This dual approach not only improves filtration efficiency but also extends the lifespan of the filters, reducing maintenance needs and operational costs.
