Cyclo-vane scrubber

Cyclo-vane scrubber

APZEM cyclonic scrubber is an advanced air pollution control device designed to efficiently remove particulate matter and gaseous contaminants from industrial exhaust streams. It combines the principles of cyclonic separation and scrubbing to achieve high removal efficiencies. In this system, the contaminated gas stream enters the scrubber tangentially, creating a cyclonic motion. This spinning action causes larger particles to be flung towards the walls of the scrubber by centrifugal force, where they are captured and removed.

Simultaneously, a scrubbing liquid is introduced into the gas stream, typically through spray nozzles. As the gas and liquid mix, fine particles and soluble gases are absorbed by the liquid. The combined action of cyclonic separation and wet scrubbing ensures that both large and small contaminants are effectively captured. The cleaned gas then exits the top of the scrubber, while the contaminated liquid is collected at the bottom for further treatment or disposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

It uses a rotating vane system to create turbulence and contact between gas and liquid, allowing for efficient removal of pollutants.

These are primarily designed for the removal of particulate matter (solid particles) from the gas stream. They are highly effective at capturing solid particles but less effective at removing gases or vapors.

No, they need less energy consumption because they rely on centrifugal forces for particle removal.

The primary concern of a cyclo vane scrubber is the removal of large particulate matter, such as dust and solid particles, from the gas stream. They are often found in woodworking, grain handling, and certain manufacturing processes.

Cyclone vane scrubbers has the tendency to remove about 50-99% of all particulate matter in flue gas.
